Skulpturen der Wahrnehmung
Synopsis
This video is based on a fashion collection that explores the five human senses. A sixth look stands for the senseless. The six individuals enter a Portal with the intention of merging into a single entity.
Inspired by the idea of the collection, the concept of the video was created. We adopted the abstract character of the collection, thus built new and abstract worlds.
The purpose for the production was the display of collection at the exhibition Sensing Bloom in the Museum der Alltagkultur.
Together with architect Martha Granzeier, we built cardboard models. In postproduction we assembled recordings of the models with recording of the protagonists together to create a new environment.
Facts
The campaign for the collection "The Loss of Function - The Art of Fashion" was created in collaboration with fashion designer Ngọc Hân Hoàng. It comprised three different types of videos. The video, Skulpturen der Wahrnehmung was shown at the exhibition Sensing Bloom in the Museum der Alltagkultur and Open Space Domshof in Bremen. The video portraits were also shown at the exhibition. They conveyed the looks in detail and in motion. The catwalk background video was shown at Neo.Fashion in Berlin.
