The Internship
In 2024, I completed a seven-month internship at From Form, an independent creative studio for film and design based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Founded by Ashley Govers and Jurjen Versteeg, the studio works across commercial film, animation, graphic design and photography, with a strong focus on tactile, cinematic and concept-driven visuals.
As part of a small and close-knit team, I was involved in all phases of the creative process – from early concept development and research to production, post-production and delivery. My role was intentionally broad, allowing me to contribute across film, design, styling, set work and production support, while gaining a holistic understanding of how a multidisciplinary studio operates.
During my time at From Form, I worked on a wide range of projects including commercial film productions, campaign development, pitches, exhibitions and events. My main focus lay in styling, visual development, hands-on production work and post-production support, often bridging analog and digital workflows.
Alongside client work, I was also involved in internal projects such as exhibitions, events and studio initiatives, which offered valuable insight into the cultural and organizational side of a creative studio.
A short video created by the studio as a farewell gift reflects this versatility, showing my involvement across disciplines and highlighting my adaptability within different creative contexts.

Fairbuds by Fairphone

Project Overview
One of the central projects of my internship was the production of a commercial film for Fairphone Fairbuds, sustainable noise-cancelling in-ear headphones. From Form was commissioned to develop and produce the campaign, combining live-action footage, animation and music into a dynamic and contemporary spot.

Museumnacht Amsterdam
/Campaign
Project Overview
Another major project was the visual campaign for Amsterdam Museum Night, an annual cultural event spanning numerous museums across the city. The campaign aimed to capture the simultaneity and energy of the night through a new visual concept centered around “portals” — symbolizing movement between spaces, experiences and worlds.
Process & My Role
I was involved throughout all stages of the project. In pre-production, I developed styling concepts, created moodboards and sourced outfits for the performers. During production, I assisted with lighting setups and technical preparation for stop-motion-based photo shoots.
In post-production, I worked on image selection, retouching and compositing, helping adapt the visuals into various formats including large-scale posters, animated assets and social media content. The project was a complex mix of photography, motion design and graphic systems, and became one of the most formative experiences of my internship.
